Is anyone among you in trouble? Then they should pray to God about it. Or, is anyone feeling happy? They should praise God with songs.
James 5:13 EASY
What do you do when going through any difficult or challenging situation? How do you respond to trouble, ill-treatment, hurt, or disappointment? If challenges has taken you away from God instead of drawing you closer to Him, especially in the place of prayer, then you’re not doing well enough.
While it may seem as if God is a far off in such times, I would like you to know that this is what the devil wants you to believe. The devil will rather have you wail and lament, and even murmur against God than to pray. Meanwhile, God has made several promises or peace and victory in the Scripture, and His words can be trusted. But the devil will not want you to remember any of these promises, lest by meditating and believing, you’re freed from his grip.
However, if you would rise in the place of prayer, then you will see God coming through for you.
He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
Psalms 91:15 NIV
God is aware that your strength will not be sufficient to carry you through the different phases of life you would have to go through. He knows that you would need divine help if you would come out victorious. Your trials and challenges does not catch Him unaware. On the other hand, He has sufficient provisions in place, specifically designed for time like this.
So, He has given us the privilege of communion with Him in the place of prayer. He has committed Himself to answer whenever we call. Therefore, I would like you to know that the time of trouble is not the time to shut your mouth against heaven. Rather, it is the time to pray.
So pray to God, a definite prayer of faith and you can be sure of total victory.
