Verse of the Day – Isaiah 43:1-2 NIV

Isaiah 43:1-2 NIV

But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Isaiah 43:1-2 NIV

“Why are you frightened? Do you still have no faith?” These were the Lord’s questions to the disciples in Mark 4:40. As they journeyed through the sea, a fierce storm came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. But because the Lord Jesus was in the boat, they woke him up from where he was lying. He rebuked the storm and everything became calm. Likewise, He rebuked their faithlessness also.

There is power with the Lord. From the same Fountain comes to us this good news- the hope of victory for everyone who believes in Him. Christianity enables us to utilize difficulties as a means of relying solely on God’s supernatural power.

The One whose power can change all situations into triumph (even in a moment) is here to give us hope. God turned a fiery furnace into a platform for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to show His glory, while the heat killed the soldiers who threw them into the fire. Only their bondage was loose, so they walked freely even in the fire. They trusted in God, and He made Himself known through their unwavering faith.

Redemption is yours, do not fret. Your Redeemer knows you by name, and He says you belong to Him. The fire and the waters may come, but you won’t be alone. No matter the greatness of the wind that has suddenly shown, it shall never sweep over you. Fire may come, it won’t burn you.

Unwavering faith in the One whose word remains true forever, assures victory despite any difficulty or rough journey. Would you rather avoid difficulties or let God strengthen and carry you through them, showcasing His glory in your life?

Do not cast away your confidence. God is forever able to keep you. Your future is secure in His hands. Be at peace in His word. As He has said it, He will do it. He who knows your end from the beginning assures you of victory. Trust in the Lord!
