Give the LORD a chance to show you how good he is. Great blessings belong to those who depend on him!
Psalm 34:8
The Lord is good, and He’s welcoming everyone who would turn to Him for help. We can see various passages of Bible where God is inviting us into a relationship with Him, and this invitation is without favouritism, as He is calling out to everyone; young and old, male, and female alike. You do not require any qualification to obtain God’s mercy. Let us consider some of these invitations.
Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
Isaiah 55:1
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
The Psalmist is here inviting us from his experience to give the Lord a chance – taste and see. It is not see and taste. Before we taste a substance, we generally look at it. But here, we are called to taste before we can see. Taste by depending on the Lord through faith and you will see how good He really is.
