Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
Psalm 62:8 AMPC
If you would agree with me, may I inform you that God is the only one who can help you in any and every situation. No matter how little or great the situation may be, God is the only true source of help.
If it is not the LORD who builds a house, the builders are wasting their time. If it is not the LORD who watches over the city, the guards are wasting their time.
Psalm 127:1
We must have an abiding confidence in God. Upon all occasions and every emergency, we must have an actual trust in God, to guide us when we are in doubt, to protect us when we are in danger, to supply our needs when we are in want, to strengthen us for every good work. And this must be always, even in the severest affliction and the utmost danger.
It is important to also mention that you cannot expect anything from God without communicating your needs to Him. So, we must have an unreserved communication with God. No situation should be too ‘heavy’ to discuss with God, even our most secret throbbing. He is wise, considerate, merciful. He will not repulse us; but will kindly and patiently listen to us. In fact, He wants us to commune with Him.
How unspeakably important is the object of the soul’s trust! We may make unsuccessful speculations in business, we may venture all we have on some ruinous enterprise, we may even put our lives in jeopardy and lose them; still all may not be lost; the soul may be safe. But, if we trust the soul to something that will fail us at the day of judgment, then the loss will be tremendous and irreparable.
