Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.
Luke 10:19 AMPC
God is indeed a wonderful Father. When He sends you on an assignment He makes sufficient provisions needed for accomplishment. God knew what it would require for us to remain a faithful servant even in this ‘sin-full’ world. Therefore, He gave sufficient provisions to every believer. Oh, what a great privilege in Christ Jesus; that we have power over all the power of the enemy.
There is power for you; power to trample upon “serpents and scorpions” and not be trampled upon; packed with physical and mental strength and ability. This power is exclusively available only to believers; those who have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ.
It is important to note that this power can be made impotent even in the life of a believer that is fearful and those that are still dwelling in sin. No wonder many so-called ‘Christians’ have become an object of ridicule to the body of Christ. It is because they’ve fallen into the enemy’s trap. Likewise, you would be missing the benefit of this power if you are not exercising it.
So, I say unto you that has been empowered, let nothing rob you of this power. Do not allow anything to reduce its impact in your life. You cannot have this power and still be subdued by the enemies or any other power. If you would not resist the devil so that he flees from you, you are only making yourself an easy prey to the enemy. Remember Jesus says “nothing shall in any way harm you”. So, if He has said a thing, who can decree otherwise?
