Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.
James 5:7-8
What is the “fruit” that you have been waiting for? That prayer that you are yet to see the answer; the long-awaited promise(s) of God. Would you rather have your maize as an empty cob without any grain on it?
I am a living testimony that “God would not graduate you into unemployment”. If you would put your faith in God and patiently wait for Him, you would see that your waiting is for a greater good.
How should you then handle the weariness and pressure of the waiting period?
“Oh, what peace we often forfeit Oh, what needless pain we bear All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer.” While you wait, you must pray and as He has promised, you can be sure that He will give you rest.
