The Fear of the Lord: The Key to Blessings and Remembrance

The Fear of
the Lord:
The Key to Blessings and Remembrance - Psalm 115:12-13

The Lord remembers us and will bless us: He will bless his people Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron, he will bless those who fear the Lord—small and great alike.

Psalm 115:12-13 NIV

How does it feel when we seem to be forgotten, especially by those we trust would be there to help us? I am sure it is not a good feeling. But to know and be assured that someone is mindful of you and is always concerned about you is indeed a great one. Perhaps you have been waiting for some sort of breakthrough to take place. May be in your life or you’re trusting the Lord for someone, and as the day goes by nothing seems to be working out as you’re hoping for, may I have your attention for a moment please.

The Lord remembers you. It may not look like it now, but the truth is that you are not forgotten. The Lord is mindful of you, and He will never forget you. I have trusted Him in the past and I was not put to shame neither was I dismayed. I am still trusting Him now, and I am sure that you will never be put to shame. (Psalm 25:3)

Our God has done it before, and He can do it again. He has blessed people in the past, He can bless you also. The breakthrough that you’re waiting for can be found in Him. He can provide for the needs; there is nothing that is impossible for Him to do.

Meanwhile, you are not exempted if you are not currently waiting. The Lord remembers you too and will continue to bless you. Male and female, young and old, there is no exemption when it comes to God blessing His people. Therefore, you can continue to trust in Him.

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”

Isaiah 49:15-16 NIV

The Lord will bless those who fear Him – small and great alike. We are called to live lives that honour and fear the Lord. Do you fear Him?
