Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.

As we continue to explore the reasons the Lord deserves our praise through Psalm 111, the next item on the list is that His righteousness endures forever. The Lord deserves our unreserved praise because His righteousness never fails. Meanwhile, I would like to point out again how this verse re-echoes God’s work – they are glorious and majestic. “His work is honourable and glorious…” (KJV)
“Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails.” (NLT) His works are honourable because they reveal His glory. The fact that they are beyond human reasoning and cannot be replicated by anyone else is enough a reason for a feeble man like you and I to praise Him, who alone does honourable and majestic deeds.
But Lord, your endless love stretches from one eternity to the other, unbroken, and unrelenting toward those who fear you and those who bow facedown in awe before you. Your faithfulness to keep every gracious promise you’ve made passes from parents, to children, to grandchildren, and beyond.

Unlike humans, God never changes His ways; He is consistently faithful to His promises. He is forever righteous and has never failed to fulfill a promise. It is not in His nature to be unreliable like humans. Psalm 119:142 (ERV) attests to this truth: “Your goodness is eternal, and your teachings can be trusted.”
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail.
Isaiah 51:6 NIV
God’s righteousness is unwavering and unfailing. Does He not deserve your praise?
