Near God, No Fear: Find Your Strength in His Unwavering Promise

Near God, No Fear: Find Your Strength in His Unwavering Promise - 2 Kings 7:18

And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria

2 Kings 7:18 KJV

This powerful verse reminds us that God’s promises are not limited by our understanding or even our faith. Even in disbelief, God delivers. Despite famine and widespread doubt, God, through the prophet Elisha, promised abundance. Though the details remained hidden, God’s ability never wavered. And it came to pass as the man of God uttered God’s word.

Just like Abraham, who worried about the seemingly delayed promise of a son, we too may struggle with doubt when facing difficult situations. However, Genesis 18:14 reminds us, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” No matter how heavy your burden feels, no matter how bleak the situation appears, trust that God remains in control. He is not late, and His promises are sure. What He has promised He can bring to pass.

Likewise, remember, your burden isn’t yours alone. When challenges feel overwhelming, like carrying the weight of the world, God sees your struggle. Even when the solution seems impossible, hold onto the truth that nothing is too difficult for God. It might not appear clear how things will change but trust that God’s promises hold true.

Never lose hope, keep trusting. Faith doesn’t require sight; it thrives on trust in the unseen. Like Abraham and the Israelites, God asks us to persevere in faith. Don’t be discouraged by seemingly stagnant circumstances. Hope may feel hidden, but that’s precisely why faith is needed. When you can see the answer, there’s no room for trust. Embrace the journey, hold onto God’s word, and know that He is faithful.

Rise in faith and step out. God calls you to action, even in doubt. Remember Sarah and the Israelites who, despite their circumstances, believed and received God’s blessings. The Assyrian siege surrounding them, much like your seemingly impossible situation, is no match for God’s power. He can not only fulfil His promises but also surpass them, turning enemies’ provisions into blessings for His people.

As long as you stay near Him, the assurance lies in remaining close to God. As long as you don’t stray from His presence and continue to seek Him in prayer, know that He will come through for you.

Furthermore, remember, nothing is too difficult for God. Rise, step out in faith, and trust that He will fulfil His promises in His perfect timing. Just like He delivered abundance during the famine, He will see you through your challenges too.

Finally, though doubt may arise, hold onto the unwavering truth. God’s promises are true, and nothing is impossible for Him. Trust in His faithfulness and keep walking in faith, for He will see you through.
