From Striving to Thriving: How Deliverance Opens God’s Blessings

How blessed and favored are the people in such circumstance; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored] are the people whose God is the Lord!

Psalms 144:15 AMP

Deliverance from the “foreigners”, from those who exploit and manipulate, is not a minor issue. It’s crucial, for the Bible tells us that only those free from such burdens can truly experience the blessings of prosperity and peace. Let’s consider what awaits a person delivered from these forces that hold us back.

This deliverance is a crucial step towards achieving true fulfillment. So, the Bible says that after deliverance, our sons will be like flourishing plants, and our daughters, like graceful pillars adorning a palace. It hints that such blessings weren’t possible before. Only when rescued from these oppressors, these “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” can we experience these wonderful things:

  • Sons thriving like well-tended plants: flourishing and reaching their full potential.
  • Daughters graceful and strong: contributing meaningfully with their unique talents.
  • Abundant provision: our needs met and exceeded.
  • Fruitful fields and thriving livestock: prosperity evident in all aspects of life.
  • Peace and security: no more break-ins, captivity, or cries of distress.

But today, we gain insight into genuine deliverance from verse 15. Two key points guide us:

  1. Deliverance leads to a blessed state: It’s not just freedom; it’s a state of true happiness, peace, and fulfilment.
  2. Deliverance requires God as our Lord: When God leads, we’re not just blessed; we’re prosperous, secure, and favored. We trust not in earthly resources, but fully in God’s grace and provision (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Jesus invites us not just to escape burdens, but to take on his yoke (Matthew 11:28-30). He offers not just deliverance from sin and its burdens, but also a chance to learn, grow, and fulfill God’s purpose for our lives. We are to take on His “yoke” – a path of learning and growth that leads to true fulfillment. We must not rely on our own strength, but on His complete grace and guidance.

Dear friends, ask yourselves: Who is your God? Do you truly have the Lord as your guiding force? Remember, with God as your Lord, you are truly blessed. May He help you find deliverance and walk towards the abundant life He desires for you.
