Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.
Psalm 105:5 NIV
As human beings, we tend to forget things easily. Many times our forgetfulness in one way or the other affects our trust in the Lord. However, when we fail to remember or short-lived joy of the victories that God has won for us, the impact of the experience in strengthening our faith diminishes. As a result, our faith halts, and our confidence grows faint. We spend so much time complaining than we do in the place of prayer. If only we could do otherwise, then we would have seen God magnified while the challenges faded away.
Therefore, I would like to encourage you today, to take some moment and reflect on your life; on the wonders the Lord has done for you. The victories of the past, the “mountains” He helped you climb and the “desert” He walked you through. Remember His provisions, especially the grace that has brought you salvation.
The house of Israel was forgetful. They had forgotten so soon that they were enslaved by the Egyptians. They even wanted to return to the onions and cucumbers of slavery. This was simply because they were forgetful.
When we see people complain, it is because they have lost sight of the good works of God. They have forgotten the miracles and goodness He had brought them in the past. As a believer, your default state should be thanksgiving. Even during prayers, you give thanks because you know who you are dealing with. He is a generous God. He wants to give you more than you can receive.
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
Philippians 4:6 AMPC
Stand strong, therefore, knowing fully well that His power is still the same and He never fails. Since He has brought you this far, why do you think He will leave you here? Remember that He can do so much more for you.
