But we should continue following the truth we already have.
Philippians 3:16 ERV
Nobody knows it all; only God does. However, we are not to excuse ourselves from growing in the wisdom and knowledge of Christ. The truth which you already know and the instructions already given to you, how much of it are you living out?
Imagine you’re holding a torch and walking along a dark path. What you would be able to see does not only depend on the brightness of the torch but also on the distance it can cover. So, if you would like to see beyond your current view, you must keep moving forward for the torch to keep illuminating the path ahead. The farther you go, the more you will be able to see.
Therefore, we should not give up on the teachings that we have learned, instead, we must keep following them. It is important to stay on track and not deviate from what we know to be true.
By following the truth, we can achieve God’s purpose and live a fulfilling life. It’s important to keep learning and growing, and not become complacent or stagnant. We must stay active and engaged in our pursuit of truth.
While it’s easy to get sidetracked or distracted, but we must remain focused on what’s truly important. This means prioritizing God’s instructions, and living in accordance with them. We must stay true to ourselves and not compromise our principles.
…The truth we already have
Beloved, I would like to encourage you to live up to the standard of the word of God you already have. The reality is that the more you know and walk with God, the more He would reveal Himself unto you. Let us not be complacent, rather, let us press toward the goal through total obedience to God’s instructions.
However, if I may ask, what truth do you know? How much of God’s revelation do you have? It is important to note that this scripture is encourage us to live out what we already know, the truth that we have in our possession. Similarly, according the Lord Jesus in John 8:32, it is the truth that a man knows that will set him free.
Ultimately, following the truth leads to a life of purpose and meaning. So let us continue to follow the truth and live our lives with intention and purpose.
