In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: Let me never be put to confusion.
Psalm 71:1 KJV
Confusion is a tool the devil uses to hinder us from doing God’s will. He used this strategy in the Garden of Eden when speaking with Eve. His tactic is to pervert God’s plan, creating confusion in our hearts. To avoid confusion, we must put our trust in God.
Confusion arises when we doubt God and question His ability to fulfil His promises. The devil, a patient strategist, orchestrates situations that make us question God’s timing. He plants thoughts and ideas to make us believe God has forgotten us. However, trusting in God prevents the devil from overwhelming our minds with his schemes. Trust is a spiritual shield against the devil’s onslaught, and we cannot afford to stop trusting God.
Furthermore, God is not the author of confusion; He makes everything beautiful in His time. Delayed answers are not denied answers. The devil wants us to think God is absent, leading us to compare, contrast, and weigh the pros and cons. This makes us forget God’s power to do exceedingly above all we can imagine. Trusting in God eliminates chaos in our lives. It is crucial in our Christian journey to depend on God, especially in troubled times. This trust prevents the devil from causing distortion.
Additionally, relying on God’s Word helps us discern right from wrong. God’s Word never fails despite the devil’s attempts to foster confusion. To Eve, he said, “Has God really said?” Yet, God’s Word is Yes and Amen; He never goes back on it or doubts it. The enemy tries to distort God’s Word, making it seem as if He said something different.
In your walk with God, put your trust in Him, and confusion will be far from you. God will never bring confusion upon you; that is the devil’s strategy. Trusting in God’s Word ensures clarity and direction in our lives.
In conclusion, trust is our defence against the devil’s attempts to sow confusion in our hearts and minds. We can confidently navigate life’s challenges by putting our faith in God’s promises and relying on His unchanging Word. Let us be vigilant and steadfast in our trust in God, knowing that He will guide us through the confusion and lead us to His perfect plan for our lives.
