Capacity Building: A Necessity for Receiving Abundantly

Capacity Building: A Necessity for Receiving Abundantly - Isaiah 54:2-3

Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.

Isaiah 54:2-3 NIV

I believe that by now your motives are right as you approach God in the place of prayer. Also, you have been steadfast in making your request known unto the Lord. Above all else, you are holding on to God in faith, steadfastly trusting that you will receive according to your prayer in line with God’s will. I would like to draw your attention to another important issue in receiving answer to your prayer – capacity building. If God were to answer your prayer right now, will your current capacity be able to contain the blessings? Do you have enough room for the outburst that heaven is able to release upon you? How prepared are you? Will you be able to manage effectively and efficiently, what God would release if your prayers are answered today?

You will spread out to left and right; you will experience growth in all directions. However, it must not be wasted. You cannot afford to be like the prodigal son who lacked the wisdom to manage the resources given to him. He wasted everything until his situation became worse than he had ever been. If you will not build adequate capacity, you might be delaying the answers to your prayers. This is because God would not release His resources to a waster. Therefore, the first step to prepare for getting your prayers answered is by building capacity. The capacity to contain, manage and maximise the outburst of heaven you are about to experience.

Expanding your capacity ensures that you won’t hinder the manifestation of God’s blessings in your life. Isaiah’s message teaches us to be prayerful and prepared, welcoming blessings with open hearts and capable hands. By building capacity in prayer and studying the scriptures, you move to understanding that there is no impossibility with God.
