Verse of Day – Romans 15:13 ERV

I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13 ERV

With all the happenings in our world today, both far and near, the talk of joy and peace seems to be gradually going out of reach. A lasting peace and joy might be seemingly unachievable with the diverse events that are taking place. We may want to resolve to say that one of the ways to preserve our peace and joy is to stay away from the news (on the radio, television, newspaper, social media, etc).

But how long can this last us (and that is if it is ever possible)? Christ Jesus is the only source of true and lasting peace and joy, which comes from our hope in Him. The peace that Christ gives is not momentary and it does not depend on whatever is going on in our lives. It is peace even in the midst of the storm; having its anchor firmly held strong through faith in Christ Jesus.

How wonderful it is to see Jesus inviting everyone, including you, to come and share in this same peace. He is always willing and ready to give unto all who respond to His invitation. There is no discrimination nor favouritism with Him.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].

Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“I invite the whole world to turn to me and be saved. I alone am God! No others are real.

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭45‬:‭22‬ ‭CEV‬‬

It is my prayer for you today, that, not minding what you’re going through now, God will fill you with an overwhelming joy and peace and make you a channel of the same even unto others, especially to those around. And that you will overflow in hope that is in Christ Jesus through the help of the Holy Spirit. Amen
