Oh, blessed be God! He didn’t go off and leave us. He didn’t abandon us defenceless, helpless as a rabbit in a pack of snarling dogs.
Psalm 124:6 MSG
If God had not been on our side, what would have become of us? When the devil could have devoured us. The Lord has always been the one coming to our rescue.
What a wonderful Father He is! Even when sin could have dragged us into hell, He rescued us; in temptation, He always makes a way out so that we can overcome.
He did not leave us because of our disobedience. He is never tired of calling out to us. His bowel of compassion is inexhaustible.
Jonah described God’s compassion in Jonah chapter 4 verse 2 using the following words:
“…I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.”
I want you to think about the various ways the Lord has come through for you, the victories you have experienced in your life, especially the victory over the power sin – the victory of becoming a child of God. How about healing, provisions, breakthrough in different areas of your life, and a lot more?
The reality is that all of these are from the Lord. He did not leave nor abandon you. You are not helpless like a rabbit in a pack of snarling dogs. How then would you respond to such a great love and blessings of God in your life?
