Are You Not Ashamed of the Gospel?

Are You Not Ashamed of the Gospel? - Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Can this be your testimony? Can you boldly declare that you are not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ? This is a crucial question for believers to ponder. Can Christ be seen in your day-to-day activities? Is the Gospel evident in everything you do?

The Apostle Paul boldly declared his confidence and pride in the gospel—the good news about Jesus Christ. Despite facing persecution and mockery, he remained steadfast in his faith and mission. This, he did, deeply knowing that the Gospel is the ultimate truth. As believers, we have been given the great commission to witness the Gospel of Christ. Acts 1:8 states, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The message of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is the most important and transformative truth one can know. Therefore, as believers, we must not be ashamed to share this ultimate reality, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. The message of Christ holds divine power to save individuals from sin and its consequences. Salvation implies deliverance from sin and reconciliation with God.

If you, as a believer, fail to proclaim the Gospel of Christ, remember that thousands of lives are at stake. God has entrusted this responsibility to His own and is looking for faithful stewards. Mark 8:38 warns, “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

Paul’s life transformation—from a persecutor of Christians to a devoted apostle—serves as a powerful testimony to the power of the gospel. His personal experience strengthened his resolve to share it with others.

In essence, we must embrace and boldly proclaim the Gospel of Christ. This is not just a personal declaration of faith but a divine mandate. The transformative power of the Gospel is evident in the lives of those who believe and share it. As believers, we must remain steadfast and unashamed, knowing that the message we carry holds the power of salvation. So, let this be a reminder to actively live out and share the Gospel in every aspect of our lives, bringing glory to God and hope to others.
