Meanwhile, falling isn’t inherently bad. It becomes a problem when you choose to stay down. While God desires a smooth path for you, He understands that challenges and trials are inevitable. The key takeaway is this: even if you fall, you can rise again with God’s help. His grace is sufficient for you.
Jesus himself acknowledged the challenges we face in this world (John 16:33). Yet, He encouraged us to be of good cheer because He has already conquered the world. Challenges will inevitably come, testing our faith. But by holding onto Christ, we can overcome them. The Bible reminds us in Hebrews 4:15 that Jesus can empathise with our weaknesses. He understands temptation because He faced it himself, yet remained sinless. This offers tremendous assurance: your failures are temporary setbacks, not permanent roadblocks.
However, Hebrews 4:16 instructs us to “come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need”.
Understand that Jesus has conquered on your behalf. He has conquered failure. All you need to do is acknowledge His help. This is a call for you to rise, stop dwelling at the same point, and stop staying in the posture of a defeated person.
