David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.

These divine interventions reaffirm God’s unwavering commitment to His promises and His ultimate sovereign rule. No human power can truly impede His purposes.
Returning to David’s predicament, we see him burdened not only by the loss of his family but also by the potential wrath of his own men. Their threat of stoning adds another layer of despair to his already heavy heart.
