For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.
Psalms 44:3 NKJV
It was not by your strength or wisdom that you crossed over from 2023 to 2024 but by the favour of God. Thus, it is important to acknowledge this and give unto the Lord the praise that is due Him. Meanwhile, we must ensure that we do not take that favour for granted this year so that it may abound. Nothing we did secured us to enter into this new year. God’s favour is the factor that brought about the mercies that we have enjoyed. It was not by our own sword neither was our salvation by our arms.
So, as we go on in the new year, let us remember that it is not the sharpness of our sword or the strength of our arms that will secure our victory, but rather the favour of God. Beyond human capabilities, it is the Almighty’s divine arm that truly saves and delivers in times of need. Victories are not solely a product of our own endeavors, but the evidence of the divine hand of God. Because we have this understanding from previous experiences, we know that in this new season our breakthrough is from the Lord.
It would be foolishness to think we can gain possession of our lands by human effort or intelligence. This is the year of the Lord; our prowess cannot achieve the kind of blessings God has promised us. Our salvation will only come from the Lord. It is not going to be by power neither will it be by might, it will be by the spirit of the Lord. By strength shall no man prevail in this new era. It is the mighty hand of the Lord that will guide and guard has we journey. So, allow the strength of God to possess the land and fight for you. Know that it is not by your power.
