The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.
Psalm 85:12 NIV
You may be wondering about something you’ve been trusting the Lord for since the beginning of the year or perhaps for a longer period. You might be thinking about how the bible describes the Lord, and doubt may want to rise from your heart. My first plea to you is never to allow delayed answers to becloud you of the truth about God’s faithfulness and love.
In times like this, the devil sees an opportunity for his attempt, and his main aim is to take your focus away from God and render you weak, faithless and prayerless. He may even make several suggestions which may seem right at first, however, the end of such a road is destruction.
Therefore, I would like to encourage you from God’s word today: never lose hope in the Lord, and do not turn away from Him. No matter how long you have been waiting, and perhaps may still have to wait, I want you to know that the Lord will indeed be faithful to bring to fulfilment all that He has promised; heaven will still open on you, and your land will yield its harvest.
“Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same.”
James 1:17 ERV
Please do not heed the devil’s promises of anything good by any means he might suggest, for everything good and perfect comes only from God – who never changes like the shadows. God’s faithfulness all through time shows us His goodness. Hold on to it. At the right time, God will bring you harvest. Though it tarries, wait for it will surely come.
“At that time the Lord will send you rain. You will plant seeds, and the ground will grow food for you. You will have a very large harvest. You will have plenty of food in the fields for your animals. There will be large fields for your sheep. Your cattle and donkeys will have all the food they need. There will be much food. You will have to use shovels and pitchforks to spread all the food for your animals to eat.”
Isaiah 30:23-24 ERV
However, maintain your stand in God. Do not faint in the days of adversity. Stand your ground even in the devil’s scheming and watch God show up for you. He will give you rain in your desert and you will reap a bountiful harvest.
