While you have the Light, believe in the Light [have faith in it, hold to it, rely on it], that you may become sons of the Light and be filled with Light. Jesus said these things, and then He went away and hid Himself from them [was lost to their view].
John 12:36 AMPC
Beloved, we’ve established that God expects our immediate obedience to His word, not a vague someday. With the gift of life still warm in your palm, this very hour to turn to Him in obedience to His words. is the time of His favour. I stress again: this is the season of divine favour. God is ready to forgive your sins and hear your prayers if you seek Him with all your heart.
However, you do not know how long you will have these privileges, so do not delay. The Bible says: “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” (Isaiah 55:6 NIV) Even if Christ’s return might seem delayed, remember, our time runs fleeting. For those who’ve departed, it’s too late to seek Him.
So, if God whispers an urging in your heart, obey now, before the light dims. Is there a hand you’ve been hesitant to reach out to? Do it now. While you have the Light, walk in its brightness and warmth, lest the darkness swallow you whole.
Reflecting on Jesus’ interaction with the people, one crucial point emerges: their lack of pursuit. After speaking, Jesus withdrew. But did He truly intend to stay hidden? The people, sadly, made no effort to seek Him. They missed the point. His “hiding” was an invitation, a test of their devotion. Had they pursued, they would have found Him.
John 12:37 echoes this tragedy: “Even though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they still did not trust in Him and failed to believe in Him.” Jesus offers, He invites, but He never forces Himself on anyone. He wanted them to walk in the Light and become children of the Light. He spoke, He showed His power, but faith remained their choice.
Young people, enjoy your youth. Be happy while you are still young. Do what you want to do and follow your heart’s desire. But remember that God is going to judge you for whatever you do.
Ecclesiastes 11:9 GNT
Remember, the time of favour is now, but the time of judgment will surely come. Then, it will be too late to make corrections or ask for forgiveness. There will be no second chance. Therefore, do not waste your time on things that do not matter. Do not ignore the voice of God calling you to repentance and salvation. Do not harden your heart and reject His grace. If there is anything God wants you to do, obey Him before it is too late If there is anyone God wants you to reach out to, do it now before you lose the opportunity. While you have the Light, believe in the Light and walk in the Light, so that you may become sons of the Light and be filled with Light.
